About

Chaotic Canal is an explosion of heritage and history with a D/deaf &/or disabled-led team including poet Katie Walters, composer Gareth Churchill, ballet dancer Ben Randall, and director Lucy C Hayward, who will collaborate to create an accessible site specific play for blind and visually impaired and D/deaf&hard of hearing children.

Inspired by the decline and renovation of the canal and river network. Each story represents the journeys of people living and working along the canal.

Over 2022 we worked with Made with Music, choreographer Holly Thomas and visual director Kate Lovell who each specialise in different areas of multisensory performance to put together the bones of this performance.
